Starting out as a barrister in 1994, I eventually realised that while defending criminals was challenging, prison cells were a bit too gloomy for my tastes! So, in 2003, I swapped the King's Bench for the King's Road and entered the wonderfully creative world of advertising. At the same time, I also did a stint as a restaurant critic for a local newspaper.

During my time as a copywriter I've been fortunate enough to work for a host of big-name brands - from British Airways and L'Oreal, to Nissan, the Royal Air Force, Guinness and many more. I've had the privilege of working with some great teams of people and, together, we've won a number of awards, including a Gold DMA in 2004 for Comfort, the 2007 Cube d'or Grand Prix for Nissan, and a Gold DMA in 2008 for CALM.

The three things which drive me when taking on any project - no matter how big or small - are a natural curiosity (whether it's about an individual, a business or a product), an insatiable creative itch, and a love of writing and concepting. We all have something to say, and there's no greater feeling than being able to bring other people's products, passions or stories to life.
